Vision Statement: "To achieve a society that is more just, equitable and sustainable by promoting integral human development that recognizes diversities of gender, age, ethnicity, and economic conditions; establishes a dynamic and harmonic relationship with nature; as well as permits the ethical and spiritual fulfillment of people and society."

In CANTERA, we choose to work with the most vulnerable rural and urban areas in and around Managua. Our diverse programs promote personal formation processes with children, adolescents and young adults in four urban areas known for their extreme poverty and violence. Our rural development team explores innovative agricultural practices on our experimental-model farm as well as works directly with farming families in fifteen small rural communities. We sponsor a network of natural medicine clinics offering alternatives for improving community health and facilitate national courses, sharing our development methodology with communities and organizations throughout Nicaragua. Through these programs and courses we have contributed to the transformation of individual lives and local communities for over 25 years.
