About US

Global Humanitaria is an independent non-profit community development organization with focus on the needs and protection of children. Since 1999, we work in Peru, Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Ivory Coast, India, Cambodia and Nepal with some of the neediest communities implementing programs to promote their development processes, reduce poverty and social inequality and to build immediate and lasting change. The focus of our community-based development programs range from education, health, food security, and the empowerment of women to the defense and protection of human rights, including the rights of children.

Our Strategy

Global Humanitaria works together with the communities it serves so that our programs are responsive to their immediate and long-term needs; promoting the participation of individuals and local organizations in this process. This helps develop and strengthen their capacities while assisting them to create a better future. Our model is successful because we work to create change from within each community, instead of simply providing solutions from outside.

Global Network

Our exceptional teams work within the communities that they serve, developing long-term relationships and strategic projects that are culturally appropriate and provide for the most urgent needs of the target communities with great success.

In some cases we work with partners who already have a track record of exceptional work and have mastered a specific issue as well as best practices suitable for the region. In those cases, Global Humanitaria’s purpose is to expand the outreach and scope of quality programs already in place by providing additional funding and support for these programs.
