About Us

The YWCA of San Gabriel Valley was founded in 1935 by a group of dedicated women who saw the growing need of resources for local women and girl to grow and prosper. our mission is to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Our safety net of services and programs serve 14,000 low-income, domestic violence survivors, frail-elderly, and at-risk youth, each year throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Our programs include a vast array of Senior Services; Women In Need Growing Strong (WINGS) domestic violence program; and Teen Education Services, including the Healthy Relationships for Teen and the Respect for all program. Services are also provided in Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese and Tagalog, and we are a primary provider of case management services for many local partner agencies who do not have multilanguage capacity.
