Uganda Village Project (UVP) is a 501(c)(3) charity founded in 2003 that works closely with community-based organizations and local leaders to maximize community ownership and increase awareness and access to health services. Throughout UVP’s history, program areas have included nutrition, eye care, HIV/AIDS, malaria, WASH, reproductive health, and obstetric fistula. Key programmatic activities include: community outreaches and education events; testing, counseling, and treatment; contraceptive access; and sanitation facility construction (latrines, borehole wells, etc.). UVP also facilitates end-to-end obstetric fistula repair surgeries.
