    MISSION:

Our mission is to serve survivors of intimate partner violence through rapid-response services. We coordinate prevention, intervention, and advocacy, offering confidential support to all genders and collaborating with network agencies. With compassion, accountability, and transparency, we aim to enhance safety and self-empowerment, increase interagency collaboration, and prevent further violence.

    About Us

    About Scars Into Stars, Inc.

Scars Into Stars, Inc. (SIS) is a newly formed nonprofit born from my personal journey as a survivor. Because I understand firsthand what it takes to leave an abusive relationship, I am deeply committed to approaching healing and safety differently. While we are currently in our early setup phase--navigating the challenges and setbacks that come with building an organization from scratch-my conviction to this work remains unshaken as we prepare for a full launch in 2026.

Right now, my main focus is on networking, building relationships and our infrastructure, and filling open vacancies on our Board of Directors. I am looking for committed, diverse, and visionary volunteers who want to roll up their sleeves and help me build the safety nets survivors need to reclaim their lives.

Who We Serve and What We Believe

At Scars Into Stars, my absolute priority is putting the interests and well-being of people above profit margins. We believe that no one should ever have to face tragedy, abuse, or hardships alone. Every person who goes through abuse deserves to be seen, heard, believed, helped and treated with genuine empathy, dignity and respect.

We serve survivors of intimate partner violence (domestic violence) of all genders in Boston and the surrounding Massachusetts communities. A core focus of our work is supporting communities of color, marginalized, and underserved populations who are disproportionately impacted by domestic violence and often overlooked by traditional systems.

Our Goals for 2026 and Beyond

We want to shine a bright spotlight on the true impact of abuse so we can finally break these generational cycles. To do this, we are working to establish a Resource Coordinators Hub—a central space designed to empower survivors and their families with the tools they need to live safely, build stability, and regain their independence.

WHY--Ultimately, our goal is to help survivors; families completely reclaim their lives so that they can thrive on their own terms and no longer need our services. If you are a survivor, a family member, a community stakeholder, or a potential board member who shares this belief, I invite you to connect with us. Together, we can build a stronger foundation for our community.
