    OUR MISSION

    To enable at-risk children and youth to achieve their personal best, by providing a comprehensive set of educational enhancement services, academic support, counseling, career planning, and cultural enrichment activities in a sustained, focused manner during their elementary through high school years.

    WHO WE SERVE

    • NYA serves nearly 200 low income, at-risk children and youth ages 6-18 and an additional 300 family members.
    • NYA provides rigorous academic programming during the afterschool hours in neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles: Venice, Mar Vista, Mid-City, Downtown and South Los Angeles.
    • 99% of NYA’s students are Latino, 1% are African American, 92% do not speak English at home
