About Us
For nearly 30 years, WREI has provided timely, accurate and non-partisan data and issue analysis to the women and men of the U.S. Congress. An independent non-profit organization in Washington, DC, we gather, synthesize, and assess policy-relevant information on issues that concern or affect women and their families. Our Congressional Fellowships place talented graduate students in U.S. Senate and House offices for hands-on experience in the legislative process. The American Woman, now in its 10th edition, details almost every aspect of women's lives through essays and demographic profiles. Our Women in the Military project gathers and disseminates research findings about American servicewomen and their growing role in the U.S. armed forces.
