The Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame (CWHF) is the state’s premier educational resource for Connecticut women’s history. Founded in 1994, the organization sought to honor distinguished contributions by female role models associated with Connecticut. The first list of inductees contained forty-one women notable to Connecticut's history and culture, many of whom broke down barriers by becoming the first women to establish themselves in fields that had been previously denied to their gender. Today, the CWHF celebrates Connecticut women from a variety of fields whose work inspires change, innovation, and progress for the benefit of our local, national, and world-wide communities.
At the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame, we envision a future unbound by stereotyped expectations...
