About Us

Humanity 360’s curriculum is designed to increase greater global social awareness through the use of media, mindfulness and social engagement practices.

Our mission is to broaden students’ perspectives about the lives of others around the globe, shed light on socio-economic and globally pressing issues that pertain to aspects of our shared humanity, deepen and understanding students’ sense of self and agency and channel heartfelt responses and resolve into meaningful action.

Humanity 360 provides a platform to bring cultural anthropology and social awareness into classrooms using virtual reality experiences as well as compassion and resiliency-based approaches. Designed as a 10-week learning program, H360’s first proposed class series focuses on socio economic and globally pressing issues. Developed by cultural anthropologists in association with organizations such as Amnesty International, The Orangutan Republik, and the Downtown (Los Angeles) Women’s Center, Humanity 360 introduces students each week to topics that pertain to aspects of our common humanity, i.e. topics that are universal in nature and relevant to the human experience, regardless of nationality, gender or race. Students learn about the challenges, opportunities and potential for transformation that individuals/communities in different parts of the world experience around socio-economic and globally pressing issues. We accomplish this through the use of virtual reality experiences, videos, story-telling, mindful dialogue and more. The content of each class is designed to build compassion for others and one’s self and ultimately encourage action.
