  • Mission

Tables Without Borders helps refugees, asylees, and survivors of human trafficking rebuild their lives through the power of food. Our internship program provides 8 weeks of paid culinary training for emerging refugee, asylee, and survivor of human trafficking chefs – equipping them with skills and experiences to prepare for and secure jobs in the food industry.

    About Us

Tables Without Borders pairs emerging refugee and asylee chefs with local restaurants to participate in an 8-week paid culinary internship hosted by the restaurant. Each internship culminates in pop-dinners led by the emerging chef showcasing the flavors of their homeland. After the internship, we leverage our network of D.C.-based employers to help the chef secure a food industry job.
