Mission
Polite Tumor is redefining what support for young breast cancer patients looks like. Our mission is to provide $5,000 unrestricted grants to every person under 40 diagnosed with breast cancer in Colorado - so they can focus on healing, however they define it.
About Us
Our Why
1 in 8 women will face breast cancer in their lifetime. Only 5% of U.S. cases are in women under 40, but the financial and emotional toll is disproportionately higher. Young adults pay ~$20K more in treatment costs than those over 40 and insurance coverage has dropped significantly for these patients.
Our Community
Polite Tumor thrives because of donors, sponsors, volunteers, advocates, creatives, oncologists, nurse navigators, patients, and our board - all working together.
