About Us

Wolf Haven International has been working for wolf conservation throughout the Northwest and around the country since 1982. In addition to providing sanctuary for displaced, captive-born wolves, Wolf Haven offers pre-scheduled educational guided visits of its wolf sanctuary in Tenino, Washington as well as offsite presentations to schools, community groups, and professional organizations.

Wolf Haven has rescued and provided lifetime sanctuary for 250 animals over the past thirty years. Located on 82 acres of rare mounded prairie and woodlands, 50-minute guided visits in the wolf sanctuary offer guests a unique, close-up view of gray, red and Mexican wolves.

Wolf Haven advocates for wolf and wildlife conservation through educational programs, public outreach and membership with wolf coalitions. We work closely with federal and state agencies and conservation groups, and support wolf recovery efforts throughout the United States, including Washington. Wolf Haven is a member of the Washington Wolf Advisory Group (WAG).

Wolf Have International conducts a Wildlife Handling and Chemical Immobilization course annually. We also are proud participants in two Species Survival Plan (SSP) programs, dedicated to the continued survival of the endangered Mexican gray wolf and red wolf.
