About Us

Orga­ni­za­tion Back­ground


VCM Uganda was founded in 2009 by Mr. Robert Kirabira. Robert lost his father at a young age, and was brought up by a sin­gle mother who strug­gled a great deal to pro­vide for her chil­dren. Hav­ing strug­gled for basic neces­si­ties and an edu­ca­tion his pas­sion as become help­ing all chil­dren in need to suc­ceed in life. Vic­to­ri­ous Children’s Min­istries’ is a reg­is­tered CBOunder Reg. No. WCBO/310/11.


Staff include the Exec­u­tive Direc­tor (Founder), Coor­di­na­tor and Social Worker. These are assisted by a man­age­ment com­mit­tee which ensures that all the work is done effectively.

Our vision

VCM wants to help chil­dren obtain their full poten­tial in life. VCM wants to give chil­dren the tools to ensure that they will be able to rein­te­grate in their com­mu­nity as healthy, happy, respon­si­ble and inde­pen­dent adults.

Our mis­sion

“Our mis­sion is to col­lab­o­rate with local author­i­ties and mem­bers of the com­mu­nity to offer a chance at life and a new start for orphans and other endan­gered chil­dren. We aim to give them a first-class edu­ca­tion, access to nec­es­sary health ser­vices and, above all, the oppor­tu­nity to grow up healthy in a happy, safe, car­ing, warm and famil­ial envi­ron­ment. To insure each child reaches their full poten­tial in life.

Our objec­tives are:

  • To pro­vide edu­ca­tion to each child in need.
  • To pro­vide health ser­vices to each child as needed.
  • To pro­vide food and accommodations.
  • To pro­vide chil­dren with the tools to mod­ify and change their behaviors.
  • To help these chil­dren become func­tion­ing, well rounded adults who can make a dif­fer­ence in their communities.


There is an immense need for peo­ple to vol­un­teer with Vic­to­ri­ous Children’s Min­istries Ugan­dan. Vol­un­teers can work with VCM Uganda. In our projects, you help orphaned chil­dren with daily life and extra-curricular activ­i­ties. How­ever, the most impor­tant thing you can offer these poor chil­dren is love and atten­tion that they so des­per­ately crave and truly deserve. Our pro­grams offer a unique oppor­tu­nity for stu­dent and other vol­un­teers to enjoy the amaz­ing beauty of the Uganda and the rich cul­ture, lan­guages and the life style of the Ugan­dan people.

Skills/Qualification Needed

There is no spe­cific qual­i­fi­ca­tion for vol­un­teers needed to join VCM. How­ever, vol­un­teers must be flex­i­ble and patient. You should have pas­sion and love for chil­dren. You will orga­nize activ­i­ties, games, sing-a-longs and dances as well as other creativity-based activ­i­ties to teach the chil­dren In the min­istry where chil­dren attend school, Day­time activ­i­ties for vol­un­teers include:

  • Chil­dren care
  • Admin­is­tra­tion work and Management.
  • Pre­pare Bud­gets and Project Proposals.
  • Help­ing with cleaning,
  • Cook­ing and gardening.
  • Com­mu­nity work.
  • Fund Rasing

We also need volunteers who have building experince

Set­ting up and main­tain­ing per­sonal files for the chil­dren. You will be busy dur­ing the day when the chil­dren go to a school. vol­un­teers Vic­to­ri­ous Children’s Min­istries Uganda, will raise public awareness of the state of the children in Uganda, they will exchange lan­guages and cul­ture.
