Fauquier Community Action Committee, Inc.

FCAC is a community action agency, founded in 1965 to help people help themselves. FCAC provides a way for local citizens to work together in improving and enriching their lives and the lives of all residents. FCAC attempts to mobilize all avilable resources; private, local, state, and federal, towards bettering the opportunities of low-income citizens and building stronger communities throughout Fauquier County.

FCAC is the designated grantee for Head Start and the Virginia Preschool Initiative in Fauquier County. These programs provide quality early childhood education, supported by total community awareness and involvement, serving low-income children and other children in need. FCAC work with parents of these children to achieve family self-sufficiency, and postivie transition into the school system.
