Ekta Community Projects

The word Ekta in both Marathi and Hindi connotes “unity”, “togetherness”, “harmony” and “solidarity”. In that sense, it is the perfect term to describe the new organization forming to holistically address the concerns of members of India’s criminal tribes from an entirely community-based, grassroots perspective. Ekta Community Projects provides health, education and community organization services to the poorest of the poor through an intensive, unified program to break the cycle of poverty in one generation.
