Home Works of America, Inc.

About Us

The mission of Home Works is to show God's love through offering service to others, focusing its activities on providing home repairs to homeowners in need, assisting youth in their development, and empowering communities to meet the needs of its members. Since Home Works began in 1996, more than 1,500 homeowners have received home repairs and modifications sparking community revitalization. The average homeowner is an African-American woman, over 70 years old, and lives on less than $12,000 a year. Homeowners may have family, but that family is often either unable or unwilling to help them.

Over 18,000 teen and adult volunteers have joined together in fellowship, eliminating prejudices and misconceptions.

Youths from middle school, high school, college, juvenile arbitration programs, and even the Department of Juvenile Justice learn carpentry, home repairs, social skills and deepen their faith.

Collaboration efforts with local service organizations, city, state and government agencies.

Geographic area covered: GA, LA, NC, PA, SC and Zorritos, Peru.
