Metro Matters

Building on a decade of success in the municipal and regional arenas, the Michigan Suburbs Alliance changed its name and refined its mission to better serve Southeast Michigan in December 2014.  The new organization, Metro Matters, focuses on regional solutions to shared challenges.  While Metro Matters is a new organization in name, it has a strong foundation built on successful accomplishments and strategic partnerships, including: streamlining development processes for municipalities to attract investment; coordination and technical assistance on energy-saving projects that have resulted in over $6 million in lifetime savings costs; engaging over 100 millennials through a civic leadership program; and the creation of enabling legislation for the Regional Transit Authority, setting the stage for unprecedented investment in mass transit.
