About Us

The Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service (FELPS) inspires and connects emerging public service leaders through unique career planning and professional enrichment opportunities designed to assist them in developing successful careers.

FELPS is one of the first programs that actively guides and engages emerging leaders in a process of self-directed career development. Through twice-monthly sessions, fellows evaluate and refine their leadership skills and practices; discuss public service issues, trends and career challenges with experts in the field; craft a career plan based on personal assessments and professional goals; and build a network of talented peers and mentors who can offer support and guidance.

FELPS is sponsored by the NYU Leadership Initiative and NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, a nationally top-ranked graduate school for public service.
