Forestville Park Development, Inc.

The Forestville Youth Park is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a safe and welcome gathering place for all kids and families to enjoy healthy activities in the beautiful Russian River area of Sonoma County.

We are an all-volunteer organization that has been supported and maintained entirely by volunteer efforts, event proceeds, and donations for 44 years. We may be Sonoma County's only privately funded, public access park.

As regular host to 3 West County youth sports leagues, the West County 4-H, and West County Boy Scout troops, the Park annually serves more than 700 girls & boys and literally hundreds of families from through-out Sonoma County.

We have 3 playing fields, a children's playground, picnic areas, & BBQ facilities. We also offer outdoor space for special events & large gatherings, and a meeting room for small group use (all upon approval & availability, with some limitations; please inquire).

We also hold two wildly fun annual events: The BBQ & Parade in June (this year's event is on June 5 & 6), and The Northern California X-treme Outhouse Race & Chili Cook-off in September (2004 dates to be announced soon). There are NO admission fees and lots of free parking is available. Both events offer a wide-range of activities & excitement for the entire family, live music, and great food & drinks.
