University and campus leadership have identified philanthropy as a critical need in the future direction of the institution. As such, the University of Illinois is in the midst of its largest campaign in history. Entitled the Brilliant Futures Campaign, the system-wide effort has a $2.25 billion goal by 2011. The UIC campus goal is $650 million.
