Floyd County Animal Rescue League

  • Mission

To educate the community in the humane treatment of animals and responsible and enjoyable pet ownership. To reduce the number of unwanted animals in Floyd County. To assist and support the New Albany - Floyd County Animal Shelter.

    About Us

The Floyd County Animal Rescue League has been working to protect the animals of Floyd County since it was established 25 years ago. The Rescue League has helped thousands of people afford to have their animals altered, provided educational programs and materials to area schools, volunteered tens of thousands of hours at the shelter and special events, and directly assisted hundreds of animals in need. FCARL has also raised and contributed over $400,000 toward the construction of the new animal shelter building, and worked with City and County governments to plan and implement that project.
