HANDS OF HOPE FOR THE COMMUNITY INC

In 1992 Hands of Hope, Inc. began to serve the community as a food pantry/soup kitchen and a limited clothes closet and today the program continues to function from St.James Church, Edison, NJ. Hands of Hope, Inc. is a non-profit (501)(c)(3) community based organization. Hands of Hope does not have a paid staff. We are committed to provide an efficient and effective system for distributing food to alleviate hunger in our community, one family at a time.

In March 2020 Hands Of Hope Inc. facing the onset of Covid-19 revamped it's operations to ensure the safety of our volunteers and clients. Hands Of Hope trainsitioned to a drive up model allowing our clients to stay in their cars while our dedicated volunteers placed the food in their car. This method streamlined the process and allowed Hands Of Hope to keep pace with the ever increasing demand. Throughout the pandemic, our generous supporters continued to keep our shelves filled and donated over $300,000 in.combinded monetary and in kind gifts.
