Founded in 2013 Turnaround, Inc. operates at the intersection of workforce development and gainful employment. We provide full-time jobs coupled with skills training in the field of property maintenance. We maintain a focus on Washington, DC's Ward 7, where the unemployment rate is nearly 3 times the national average. All of our Trainees are referred through social services agencies that provide built-in case-management. Our Trainees are overcoming major challenges with re-entry into the workforce after homelessness, long-term unemployment, and following military service. In our first year of operations we created 5 new full-time positions, and our crew performed more than 300 property maintenance assignments. 42% of our crew is formerly homeless, 100% live in designated affordable housing.
