Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition
"The Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition (MLTC) serves as a unifying entity and capacity-building professional resource for land conservation organizations across Massachusetts."
Overview of Organization
For two decades, the Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition has operated as an all-volunteer organization coordinating one of the most vibrant land trust communities in the nation. MLTC plays a vital role in maximizing the impact of its member land trusts throughout the Commonwealth by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information on land conservation; increasing the effectiveness of Massachusetts land trusts in working with state government officials and environmental agencies; and by promoting high professional standards in the conduct of land protection. MLTC has played a crucial role in supporting key conservation legislation and has become an important networking resource for the state’s land trusts. MLTC counts over 130 organizations as Members and Friends, including land trusts, watershed associations, open space committees, and advocacy groups.
The MLTC recently incorporated as a non-profit organization with 501 (C)(3) status in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
