About Us

The mission of the Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, JACOBS FAMILY CAMPUS is to provide social, cultural, educational, and recreational programs to individuals and families of all ages, religions, races, financial abilities, and physical and mental abilities. Likewise, the JCC provides equal opportunity employment to individuals of all religions and backgrounds. The JCC welcomes San Diego?s diverse Jewish community and the community at large.


For over 45 years, the LFJCC has met the needs of San Diegans through quality, community-oriented programming. Services include: Nierman Preschool; Inclusion Program including children with special needs; Jacobs and Klein Senior Center; Camp Jaycee summer day camp; QUALCOMM Sports, Fitness & Aquatics complex; Youth & Teen Programs; David & Dorothea Garfield Theatre; San Diego Center for Jewish Culture that includes San Diego Jewish Film Festiva, San Diego Jewish Book Fair, Holocaust Education Program, and Gotthelf Art Gallery. The LFJCC provides a diverse, intergenerational, family-friendly environment to over 8,000 members and nonmembers. Every month there are approximately 140,000 visits to LFJCC programs and services. In addition, close to 50 community groups including public schools, sports teams and other nonprofit organizations use the LFJCC facility on an ongoing basis.
