    Florida Defenders of the Environment promotes a science-based defense of Florida’s natural resources and has been protecting freshwater resources, promoting conservation of public lands and providing high quality environmental education since 1969. Restoring the Ocklawaha River, protecting springs in north central Florida, and protecting the Withlacoochee River are among FDE’s current projects.
