Chinese Mutual Aid Association

  • Mission

Proudly founded by ethnic Chinese refugees in 1981, the Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) is led by many prominent individuals from the Asian American community. Our purpose is to serve the needs, promote the interests, and enhance the well-being of low-income, diverse immigrant and refugee communities across metropolitan Chicago through social services, advocacy, educational programming, and assistance for youth, adults, the elderly, and small businesses.

    About Us

CMAA is a pan-Asian social services non-profit serving people of all ethnic backgrounds from more than 60 countries, generations from youth to seniors, and abilities. Through our Chicago office and Elgin, IL satellite office, CMAA is dedicated to providing a wide range of programs to meet its community’s diverse needs, including in-home care services, English as a Second Language courses, immigration case assistance, job placement and consultation services, an Illinois Small Business Development Center, and youth programs.
