    ASMERADE is a Togo-based association that focuses on education, community health, environment, tourism and gender and development.

    PROGRAMS AND DOMAINS OF INTERVENTION

    EDUCATION: Outreach programs to promote the importance of education for everyone. Teaching in the junior high school. You can teach languages, math, science or agriculture.

    COMMUNITY HEALTH IN A RURAL SETTING: Working to improve the quality of life for community members, especially women and children. Working with health professionals in the social affairs bureau and community health center. Lead outreach programs concerning nutrition; maternal and children's health; vaccinations; family planning; and HIV/AIDS presentations.

    ENVIRONMENT: Organize workshops concerning natural resource management and the protection and importance of the environment. Working with organizations that assist and offer advice to farmers.

    TOURISM: Organize and develop ASMERADE's equitable eco-tourism project consisting of waterfall excursions, host family stays, and cross cultural exchange.

    GENDER AND DEVELOPMENT: Promoting the importance of girls empowerment and education. Lead workshops concerning Women's and children's rights.

    ASMERADE'S HEADQUARTERS

    Our headquarters are located in Tomegbe, Togo - a lush village in the mountains surounded by forests and waterfalls. We have plenty of pinneapples, mangoes, papaya and avocadoes. The high elevation of Tomegbe makes for fresh air and cool nights.
