Great expectations is here to help former foster care young adults develop academic and professional goals. We want them to be inspired to learn about the world of work, plan for the future, interact with the community and build self-confidence. We are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic volunteers to assist our students’ transition into a healthy and successful adulthood. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds, and they are hoping to acquire the skills they need to independently pursue life goals, support their families, and contribute to their communities. The ideal mentor/volunteer provides positive guidance to empower the students in reaching their educational and career goals. There is a two hours a month for one year commitment.
If interested, please Email Icess Booker, Volunteer Coordinator, with a resume'.
