About Us

The Young Community Development Professionals Association is a group that started in summer 2009 to encourage partnerships and connectivity in the broader community development field. This includes networking events, public service, workshops, professional development, and more. YCDPA focuses on community development in New Jersey and those whose work affects the state.

Our mission: YCDPA connects professionals in the community and economic development fields to increase knowledge, improve skills, and build networks that revitalize and sustain New Jersey’s communities.

All are welcome and encouraged to join. There is no fee or formal commitment necessary.

Our members represent a variety of organizations: students, non-profits, for-profits, affordable housing developers, community development financial institutions, service providers, energy efficiency advocates, planners, social justice advocates, teachers, architects, lawyers, and many more …All with the same goal of improving communities
