George Eastman House will be a leader in interpretation and higher education related to its preeminent collections. We will enhance public access to Museum collections through exhibition, print and digital means. Our leadership in the interpretation of photography and motion pictures will be measured by our ability to articulate the relationship of these media to history. The Museum recognizes a dual responsibility that derives from the richness and historical significance of our collections - to interpret aggressively and analyze the objects in our trust and to broaden their use and interpretation by others through sharing.
