United Way of Snohomish County
OUR CORE WORK
United Way of Snohomish County works to help build a community where all families have access to opportunity for generations to come. It’s a tall order, but we’re up for the challenge. Snohomish County has a collaborative spirit, entrepreneurship in its veins, and a drive to take care of its people. Your United Way reflects the community in which it serves, and we are adopting a collaborative approach placing children birth to age 8 and their families with low income at the core of our work. By focusing on the well-being of both the child and adult together, we are creating long-term solutions that will unlock access to family success.
Creating Open Roads to Equity (CORE) is about placing the whole family at the center of a collaborative partnership where multiple nonprofit, public, and private partners are working together to meet not only the needs of the child, but those of the entire family.
We are adopting two very promising national models: Collective Impact and a 2-Generational approach. Together, our new work helps place children birth to age 8 and their families with low income at the core of our communities to address root causes and unlock access to family success.
