Friends of Rahway River Parkway

  • Mission

We are the "Friends of Rahway River Parkway," A charitable nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization registered in the state of New Jersey. The Friends of Rahway River Parkway (FORRP) has been formed exclusively to encourage and advocate for its Historic Preservation, restoration, and enhancement in accordance with the Olmsted design principles inherent in its origins.

    About Us

We are a volunteer-driven non-profit organization dedicated to our local parks, advocating for our community green spaces and educating on the legacy of the Rahway River Parkway. We promote public enjoyment of Rahway River Parkway's fifteen parks and parklands along the banks of the Rahway River. We celebrate the masterful legacy of Frederick L. Olmsted and his landscape architecture firm, which transformed America's urban landscapes of parks and parkways, connecting nature with community, including our own Rahway River Parkway within the Union County Park System.
