About Us

The BMW Championship is the third of four PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedEx Cup. Over the final four tournaments of the Tour, the number of players is reduced week by week. Only the year's best 70 players are invited to play in the BMW Championship. After the event, the starting field for the next playoff is reduced to just 30 pros. Only these 30 players can compete in the season finale, giving them a chance of being crowned FedEx Cup Champion.

The 2012 BMW Championship will move to Carmel, IN and be played at Crooked Stick Golf Club September 3-9, 2012. We are excited to host the top 70 PGA TOUR Players in the third leg of the PGA TOUR's FedEx Cup Playoffs at this prestigious golf club. All Proceeds of the tournament benefit our sole beneficiary, the Evans Scholars Foundation*.

  • The non-profit WGA-sponsored Evans Scholars Foundation administers the nation’s largest privately funded college scholarship program. Since 1930, more than 9,000 deserving young caddies have earned their college degrees through Evans Scholarships. Today, more than 840 caddies attend college each year as Evans Scholars. The Evans Scholarship was founded by golf great Charles “Chick” Evans Jr. (1890-1979).
