    About Us

Animal Adoption League is a non-profit, volunteer organization working hard to help homeless animals in the greater Charlotte metro area. Some of the goals of the AAL are to provide veterinary care and temporary housing for dogs and cats as an alternative to the County Shelters. The League works to protect animals from neglect, abuse and cruelty while assisting other humane organizations in the investigation of these cases and to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and their activities related to animals. Other major goals of the AAL are to operate an effective spay-neuter program as well as to maintain an effective adoption program to include follow-up. Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Dogs and cats up for adoption can be found at www.mynextpet.com, as well as at various adoption events we host in the Charlotte area. Please check our website, www.mynextpet.com, for a listing of upcoming events. AAL strives to ensure that each dog and cat is placed in a loving, PERMANENT home.
