About Us

In January 1997, a local church in Marietta began a contemporary worship service. After about a year, a decision was made to plant this contemporary service as a new church in the area and North Metro Church was formed. On September 13, 1998, we began meeting for worship services at the Marietta Conference Center. We met there for almost two years before moving to Bowen Auditorium, a temporary meeting space.

Despite all the location changes, North Metro continued to see steady growth and significant life change. One thing that has remained constant is our commitment to sharing and showing the love of God by serving one another, our community, and our world as we live out what it means to be a Christ follower.

North Metro Church built a permanent ministry campus on Barrett Parkway, celebrating our first service there on September 29, 2002. As the Lord continued to draw more and more people to our church, we were blessed with the opportunity to expand our campus to meet the needs of our growing body. In September 2007, we completed the second phase of our building expansion that included additional worship venues and seating, classrooms, meeting spaces, and a cafe.
