About Us

We are a small urban church of the United Church of Christ founded in 1828 that serves a congregation of @ 70 active members. Our congregation is racially mixed, ecnomically diverse, and open and affirming. In our common life we seek to embody the love and justice of Jesus Christ. In addition to traditional worship services, we have a at thriving food ministry that includes a distribution site for the Allston-Brighton Food Pantry and a weekly Community Supper Wednesday nights open to to the public free of charge. Following the Supper we also offer a worship service and, in very cold weather, overnight accommodations to a limited number of our homeless guests. The church provides meeting and rental space for many community groups throughout the year including AA, musical and historical societies, and other groups dedicated to social benefit.
