    For more than 45 years, Catholic Charities Maine has worked to build healthy communities, promote family life, and enhance human dignity by providing quality accredited services to meet the daily needs of the poor and the most vulnerable throughout Maine.

    Catholic Charities Maine is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. We are funded by the State of Maine, United Way, Diocese of Portland, and concerned individuals who generously donate their time, talents, and treasures.

    Inspired by scripture and the Church's social teaching, Catholic Charities empowers and strengthens individuals and families of all faiths by providing innovative community-based social services throughout Maine.

    Programs include:

    Child Care Dental Services Education Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired Elder and Disabled Services Therapeutic Foster Care At-risk Programs for Youth Mental Health Services Substance Abuse Programs Parish Social Ministry Pregnancy Support Services Refugee Resettlement Services Interpreter Services Food Bank Thrift Stores
