Justice Jobs is a nonprofit employment office and job retention program. In July, 2018, we opened a jobs office in downtown Frederick that is free to both applicants and employers. Our office is in the small business incubator in the ROOT building at 118 N. Market St., Frederick, MD.
Patterned after the professional recruiter model, our Applicant Training & Placement Program serves people who are reentering the workforce, as well as local employers primarily in the service industries.
Mission Statement We help people reentering the workforce to find a job, keep that job, get good references, and move up to better jobs.
Our Vision A Maryland where everyone who needs, wants, and can hold a job, can get a job.
Justice Jobs prepares Applicants, verifies their references, constructs applicant resumes, assists Applicants in completing online applications, matches them to Employers, sends them on interviews, and follows up afterwards.
We place Applicants primarily at entry level. After placement, we support new hires with workshops and morale-building events. The goal is advancement and optimization of placement within 2-3 years.
Justice Jobs provides Employers with pre-screened, reference-checked, qualified Applicants, matched to open positions, who have completed our week-long applicant training program.
Justice Jobs mentors Newly Hired Applicants with monthly programs and continuing contact. Soon we will expand this mentorship to include small groups that are mentor-led, focusing on problem-solving and the principles of private and public success.
Justice Jobs relies on Volunteers. We train our volunteers to work 1:1 with applicants in all aspects of the job search process, and also with prospective employers to develop open job opportunities. This is rewarding work for anyone who wants to "do something that really counts"!
