About Us
Next Careers is the Affiliate Partner for FIRST Tech Challenge in the So Cal/Los Angeles region. We serve over 150 teams of 7th-12th grade students from all around the greater Los Angeles area. Every year, teams must design and build a robot to compete in a new game challenge.
Our organization is responsible for putting on tournaments. Every team competes at four league meets (10-16 teams each) and one InterLeague Tournament. The top 48 teams qualify for the Los Angeles Regional Championship held in early March. The top teams at the champs will qualify for the FIRST World Championships in Houston, Texas that is held every April.
We are a volunteer run organization. This includes the planning committee, tournament hosts, and all tournament volunteers. People choose to continue to volunteer with us because they believe in the Mission of FIRST and want to get students excited about STEM.
