    Seattle Food Committee (SFC) members represent food programs serving those in need of supplemental food in Seattle. SFC works with food distributors and other service providers to coordinate and maximize the efficiency of Seattle’s emergency food system.

    Here’s how:

    • Combine resources for greater buying power.
    • Inform the public and media on hunger issues and local assistance programs.
    • Share information and experience to run food programs more efficiently.
    • Educate local and state officials to garner support for emergency food programs and their needs.
    • Organize skill-building trainings and workshops
    • Increase emergency preparedness
