My Sister's Keeper Success Institute, Inc.

My Sister’s Keeper Success Institute, Inc. (MSKSI), is a California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, 501 (c) (3) School to Careers - STEAM Mentoring Program. The goal of the program is to educate and create awareness of and interest in the rapid growth industries in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) using the Arts as a teaching tool (STEAM) for young women in underrepresented groups, ages 10-17. We intend to help young women to understand the future career opportunities that are available to students of math and science, especially the opportunities that are not widely known and pursued.  

Additionally, MSKSI will address personal empowerment and girl's social development through bi-annual Personal Development Intensive Workshops "MSKSI School of Awake," inspired by author and young women's advocate, Kidada Jones, which will include an interactive curriculum to help girls develop the competencies needed to effectively communicate ideas and feelings, develop healthy relationships with self and others, embrace her authentic self, develop mindfulness, a growth mindset and learn strategies for self care.
