Our Little Roses Ministries

About Us

From powerless to empowered, Our Little Roses Ministries (OLRM) was founded in 1988 to turn the lives of abused and abandoned girls around. Since then, our NGO has added many ministries that reach out to the Honduran community.

The largest and central ministry is our Home to more than 70 girls that live in our Home because they had nowhere else to go. Other ministries include the Sagrada Familia Medical Clinic, a housing community for poor single mothers in the poor town of Cofradía, the Holy Family Bilingual School, and Our Little Roses Language School.

All aspects of Our Little Roses Ministries are designed to break the cycle of poverty in Honduras. Our Little Roses Home for girls prepares and empowers girls who have been abandoned or come from abusive or seriously dysfunctional families for a new future in Honduran society. At the Home they receive excellent mental and health care, good nutrition, individualized education and Christian love. After high school, they go into a transitional program that allows them to live independently but still supported by Our Little Roses, while studying in university. At OLRM we give our girls the chance to be all they are meant to be.

Our community in Cofradía provides homes for once destitute single mothers, and our clinic provides excellent health care at very low costs to the community. We opened a Spanish Language School where intenational visitors can study Spanish in full immersion among the girls of the Our Little Roses Home. In 2005 we initiated a medical program for street children and children from the poorest of the poor.
