Industrial Environmental Association
The Industrial Environmental Association of Southern California (IEA) is a non-profit organization that serves the region’s manufacturing companies. The IEA advocates on behalf of industry to influence legislation and facilitates environmental compliance for its member companies through education and training.
Established in 1983 to provide manufacturers with a voice in the growing number of environmental regulations arising in California, IEA’s expanded role now includes representing industry at the local and state levels, maintaining collaborative relationships with regulatory bodies, facilitating compliance for member companies, and leading proactive educational and training activities. Today, the IEA is an influential representative of the manufacturing industry and its members are recognized as thought leaders in regulatory compliance, as well as environmental health and safety experts.
The IEA has proven that through strong relationships, effective collaboration, and engagement in the legislative process, it is possible to both protect the environment and promote the manufacturing industry, thus improving quality of life for businesses in the region.
