World Peace University Foundation (WPUF) is a nonprofit initiative headquartered in Bellingham, committed to fostering global peace through accessible education. Embracing the ethos of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (the world is one family), WPUF endeavors to cultivate a culture of peace and sustainability, transcending barriers of nationality, ethnicity, and creed. Our flagship project, the World Peace University, serves as a beacon of hope, offering innovative online hybrid education programs dedicated to the pursuit of peace, nonviolence, and sustainable living.

WPUF is dedicated to providing accessible online hybrid education for world peace, advocating for sustainable practices, and nurturing a sense of global citizenship. We aim to empower individuals worldwide with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to contribute meaningfully to a more peaceful and harmonious world.

Our vision is to establish World Peace University as a global hub for academic excellence and research in peace studies, sustainable agriculture, and food systems. Through strategic partnerships with academic institutions, nonprofits, and civil society organizations worldwide, we aspire to create a network of change-makers committed to building a more equitable, peaceful, and sustainable future.

Board of Directors

World Peace University Foundation is a team of like-minded individuals who are committed to achieving SDG Goal No. 4 and making education accessible to all, so that no one is left behind. Our founder members, Jessica Rees, Birendra Kumar, and Hena John Fisk, are highly experienced social workers and peace builders with a combined experience of over 100 years in the development sector. We believe that education is the key to creating a peaceful and prosperous world, and we are dedicated to using our time, skills, and knowledge to make this vision a reality. By working together, we strive to create a global community where every individual has equal access to quality education, regardless of their background or circumstances. Together, we can build a brighter future for all.

World Peace University is an innovative online platform that aims to consolidate all peace-related curriculum into one accessible place. It not only seeks to organize social action peace research but also actively promotes a culture of peace through education. The university's unique approach includes providing tuition-free education from certificate to PhD level, completely eliminating the need for paper documentation. By advocating for sustaining peace and a more sustainable world, World Peace University strives to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to create a global environment characterized by harmony, understanding, and tranquility.

One World Family Home is our flagship program, which is a unique campus-based initiative. We plan to establish one in Washington and another in Rishikesh. This program aims to create a community where anyone, regardless of age, can come and find peace of mind. Whether you are looking for a place to retire or simply seeking tranquility, everyone is welcome to stay with us. Our target is to start this initiative in October 2025. It's important to note that One World Family Home is not an old age home or a hospice. Instead, it is a living community that offers both learning and experiential opportunities. We invite all individuals to join us in this journey towards inner peace and harmony.
