Beyond el Campo

Beyond el Campo is a literacy project run by Reader to Reader, Inc. in Santa Cruz de Leon Cortes, Costa Rica. Santa Cruz is a small, coffee farming village located in the mountainous region of La Zona de Los Santos, or "the Saint's Zone", found an hour and a half outside of San Jose. Beyond el Campo works alongside a team of local community members to promote literacy in Santa Cruz, in order to expand opportunities and empower individuals to seek their dreams and goals beyond the coffee-fields, where many students and adults lack access to quality educational materials and creative inspiration.
