The Community Coding Project

  • Mission

The Community Coding Project seeks to democratize access to coding education, particularly for young learners and adults across all educational and career stages in economically challenged neighborhoods of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. By offering free or low-cost resources and courses in languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python, we aim to break down economic barriers to skill development in web technology and improve employment opportunities within low-income communities. Our targeted approach directly addresses the digital divide, empowering individuals to thrive in the rapidly evolving tech-driven economy, thereby fostering socio-economic growth in our local communities.

    About Us

The Community Coding Project was conceived as an outreach program focusing on increasing the percentage of under-represented and marginalized groups in coding and web design. We are a passionate team of professionals who live and work in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Our strong commitment to community uplift can only be reinforced by enthusiastic volunteers who offer our organization a wide spectrum of skills. It cannot be over-emphasized that preparation and uplift are the heart of our mission. The Community Coding Projects is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization and beyond our mission to help eliminate barriers to success, we realize that exercising good stewardship over resources will empower us to help more people. We reject the notion that helping others is grandiose or high-minded, to the contrary we believe that it is a baseline for human decency.
