    Young Minds Advocacy (YMA), founded in August of 2012, is a non-profit mental health advocacy organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area with initiatives and cases throughout the western United States. Young Minds engages in legal advocacy, program and policy development, and community education to assist low-income youths as well as their families and communities in accessing appropriate mental health services and supports. YMA also works to ensure adequate performance and accountability of public mental health care programs and providers.
