About Us
TECHO is a youth-led nonprofit organization that seeks to overcome poverty in slums through the collaborative work of families living in extreme poverty with volunteers. Over the past two decades, TECHO has built more than 150,000 homes in 19 countries, engaging over 1.2 million volunteers from all over the world. TECHO was ranked #76 in Geneva’s global ranking of the Top 500 NGOs and considered one of the most renowned across Latin America. The organization has received prestigious awards from UN-Habitat, IDB, UNDP, and UNESCO recognized for its best practices in Housing & Urban Development, and the IADB for our contribution to social change.
In the US, TECHO operates as a fundraising hub to scale the impact of the organization in 19 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
