Tutorious

Tutorious is an ACT prep company that improves students’ futures by raising their ACT scores. Success on the ACT can be the difference between going to college or not, but most test prep is laughably expensive. We want every student to have access to test prep – even those who can’t afford to pay anything. We’re leveling the playing field. We’re democratizing tutoring.

Many of our students can’t afford to pay us for prep, and this is where our nonprofit status comes in handy. Fees from our paying students help, but the real difference makers are our generous donors and partners. All donations are tax deductible – we’re a 501(c)3.

We were founded in 2011 when our founder was working for a for-profit tutoring company. He decided to do something about the fact that only students from wealthy families could afford tutoring. We’ll be honest with you: there’s a lot of money in test prep. But we’re in it for something more valuable than profits. We’re in it for our future. If we change the trajectory for one student, we change the trajectory for all of us.
